Skip Hop / Cross-Category Campaign Photography

Photography

I partnered with marketing to identify priority products to feature each quarter, then led internal and external photographers and stylists through pre- and post-production, developing shot lists, directing creative execution, and overseeing final image selection.

Skip Hop offers children's gear and parenting essentials designed for modern families. The brand needed a cohesive approach to studio photography that could flex across six product categories and evolve as new products and seasonal campaigns launched. The goal was to build a versatile image library that showcased products in context and supported multi-channel campaigns beyond traditional lifestyle and ecommerce photography.

Art Direction

I centered the visual direction on bright, editorial imagery with clean, minimal backgrounds that allowed the colorful products to remain the focal point. I used curated props and styling to add personality and lifestyle context without competing with the products.

Images for the Baby Gear category featured bath and nursery products styled within simple, everyday home settings.

Seasonal imagery supported Halloween, Easter, and Christmas campaigns through themed styling, props, and color palettes, while creating opportunities for cross-category product storytelling.

Stop motion animation brought product functionality to life through dynamic movement and playful interactions.

Kids Bags & Mealtime Accessories featured the brand’s well-known Zoo® Collection, styled for seasonal Back-to-School and Summer Camp campaigns.

Because Playtime features Skip Hop’s most colorful products, I kept backgrounds clean and minimal to ensure the products remained the focal point.

On-the-Go imagery primarily featured different styles of diaper bags, with compositions showing what could fit inside each bag. The imagery also created opportunities to cross-sell complementary products from across the brand.

The Result

Built an evolving photography library supporting 400+ SKUs across six product categories over three years, providing campaign-ready imagery for ongoing seasonal and product launches.
